According to the Press Trust of India Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan expressed his delight over the box office success of his latest film ‘Bhoothnath Returns’.

The horror-comedy, which was made on a budget of 35 crores, took in over Rs 30 crores in its first week.

Bachchan said he hopes the good news will help co-producer Ravi Chopra, who was diagnosed with severe lung ailment in 2012, recover from ill-health.

The Press Trust of India quoted Bachchan as saying, “when we were promoting this film, I had said that this film should work for Ravi Chopra (producer), if not for the director and all of us. I am thankful to God that our prayers were heard. Ravi Chopra is at home. I am hopeful that after hearing good news about the film, his health will improve.”

The ‘Bhoothnath’ sequel, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also features Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor on cameo roles.
