Saudi Arabia has become the world's reference in Siamese separation surgery

ISLAMABAD: Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee'a announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a record of more than 80 Siamese separation surgeries in 24 years, has topped the world as home of Siamese separation surgery.

Announcing the success of separating an Iraqi twins at the National Guard hospital in Riyadh, Dr. Al-Rabee'a said some 23 cadre have taken part in the six- hour operation to bring the twins apart, describing their condition as stable, Saudi Press Agency Reported.

For the first time in nearly quarter of a century the anesthetization device was pulled out of the patients at the operation room, he declared.
