Met Office forecast light rain Malakand, Hazara divisions

PESHAWAR: The Met Office here Friday predicted light rain at few places of Malakand and Hazara divisions during next 24 hours.

According to Met Office, the weather of Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions and Gilgit Baltistan would remain partly cloudy with chances of light rain at few places in these areas during next 24 hours.

However, mainly dry weather is expected in most of the parts of the country. The weather of Abbottabad, Swat, Chitral will remain partly cloudy with chances of light rain is expected.

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country whereas a shallow westerly trough is also prevailing over extreme northern parts of the country.

A fresh westerly wave is expected to approach upper parts of the country tonight and is likely to persist during next 48 hours.

Mainly dry is expected in most parts of the country during next 48 hours, however, rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is forecasted at isolated places of upper parts of the country including Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions on Saturday and Sunday.

Weather remained dry in most parts of the country in last 24 hours except Kalam where one millimeter rain was recorded. The highest temperature recorded at Chhor, Sukkar, Shaheed Benazirabad 41?C and Mithi 40?C whereas pollen count today remained as 1,649 per m3 of air.
