According to the Press Trust of India Bollywood actor Imran Khan says he has no interest in working in Hollywood films.

The 31-year-old actor, who has voiced a character in the Hindi version of animated film 'Rio 2’, feels Indian stars are always offered tiny and insignificant roles in Western films.

The press Trust of India quoted Khan as saying, “I absolutely have no interest in working in Hollywood. I think you (Indian actors) get to be the nurse, someone who repairs computer or hero’s roommate, etc. I think they (Hollywood filmmakers) don’t write good roles for Indians.”

A host of Bollywood biggies have worked for Hollywood in the past, some notables include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and Mallika Sherawat.

‘I Hate Luv Storys’ actor reckons Indian celebrities are used as a promotional vehicle to get Hollywood film’s a wider recognition.

“Every actor will make a choice that is correct for them. The kind of roles that are offered to Indian actors are not very interesting. With no disrespect to anyone I think one gets to do a glorified special appearance. So no interest, I am very happy to work in India,” he added.

Khan and wife Avantika, who tied the knot in 2011, are expecting their first child together in June. Following his wife’s pregnancy, the actor has taken some time off and was last seen in ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ co-starring Kareena Kapoor.
