Japan core consumer prices up 1.3pc on-year in February: govt

TOKYO: Japanese consumer inflation rose for the ninth consecutive month in February as the government strives to break 15 years of deflation, new figures showed Friday.

Stripping out volatile fresh food prices, consumer prices rose 1.3 percent on-year in February, the same rate for December and January, according to the internal affairs ministry.
