700 tons of relief items distributed by Army in far flung areas

HYDERABAD: The relief work of Pakistan Army in drought hit areas of Tharparkar district continued as another 700 tons of ration has been provided to affected people in far flung areas.

An ISPR spokesman informed here on Wednesday that Army has set up 30 relief and medical camps where 700 tons of ration has been provided to the affected people and almost 30000 patients had been given free medical treatment and medicines.

Besides, 30 relief camps, Army is also dropping ration by helicopters. On Wednesday, helicopters dropped 4000 kgs of ration to the villages of Mithi including Verhnhario, Sabu Sand, Ismaeel Sangrasi and Jethiar, he said.
