Electoral reforms: SC directs ECP to submit reply in 15 days

ISLAMABAD: The three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani on Tuesday heard the case about implementation of court order regarding electoral reforms.

Advocate Bilal Qutub told the court that the Election Commission did not implement directions of the Supreme Court about holding free and fair elections.

Director General Election Commission Sher Afghan told the court that the Election Commission would submit its detailed reply in the court to respond the objections of the petitioner.

In his remarks, Chief Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani said that the Election Commission should submit the reply within 15 days and then the bench would resume the hearing of the case.

The court adjourned the hearing for two weeks.
