Talking to Pakistan Television, he said all national political parties and institutions are on same page to eliminate terrorism from the country.
The minister lauded the Prime Minister's gesture to meet the Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala here over issue of terrorism.
He said some external powers wanted to destabilize the country for achieving their nefarious objectives.
Rana Tanveer said the national issues should not be politicized due to its sensitivity, adding that dialogue is first priority of government and use of power is the last option.
Replying to a question, he said the media should play its positive role for the betterment of the society.
