West Indies beat England by 27 runs

BRIDGETOWN: West Indies defeated England by 27 runs in the first Twenty20 international of their three-game series at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Sunday.

West Indies totalled 170 for three batting first with Marlon Samuels top-scoring with an undefeated 69.

England were restricted to 143-9 off their 20 overs with Tim Bresnan making 47.

The second and third matches take place at the same venue on Tuesday and Thursday.
