Ahsan for rule of law, supremacy of constitution

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that all out efforts would be made to strengthen the rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution in the country.

He said that elements involved in the violation of country's law are answerable to their deeds before the Constitution.

Talking to a private television channel, he said that democracy is smoothly functioning in the country.

He added that judiciary is also working independently in the country.

Replying to a question regarding Musharraf, he said that those elements violated the Constitution or broke the law would have to face the trial.

He said that everyone is equal before the law and no one should be allowed to violate the Constitution of the country.
