HAMILTON: New Zealand made 271-7 in a rain-shortened innings batting first in the second one-day international against India in Hamilton on Wednesday.

Kane Williamson made 77 and Ross Taylor 57 while India's Mohammed Shami took three wickets for 55.

The match has been reduced to 42-overs following a two-hour rain interruption.
