Sardar Yousuf visits Tablighi Markaz, strongly condemns terror act

PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf Saturday visited the Tablighi Markaz here and expressed great sense of grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in a bomb blast that took place last Thursday during Maghrib prayer.

Talking to journalists after visiting the site, the Federal Minister said perpetrators involved in such inhuman crimes were not humans.

Shedding the blood of innocent people, he said was in fact a display of rivalry with humanity and peace.

Sardar Yousuf maintained that people associated with Tablighi Jamaat have no affiliation with any group and they just work for the betterment of the humanity adding that killing such precious people was tantamount to enmity with Islam.

The federal minister further said that elements involved in such crimes were defaming the religion of peace and Muslims, but added that our resolve was unbreakable and as a nation we all were against such anti-Islam forces. He assured that all possible means would be utilized to cope with such elements. Islam, he said was the religion of peace and tranquillity which taught us that killing a human was equal to killing the whole humanity.

The minster was of the view that the nation was passing through a critical phase and in such circumstances we have to show patience and tolerance and stand shoulder to shoulder with the government for maintenance of peace.

The minister who was accompanied by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Shaukat Ullah Khan thoroughly inspected site of the blast and assured all possible assistance on part of the government for rehabilitation of the Markaz.

Later, he visited Lady Reading Hospital where he enquired after the health of the injured of the blast and directed the hospital administration to provide best possible healthcare facilities to the injured. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
