MELBOURNE: Australia beat England by six wickets to win the first one-day international at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Australia made 270-4 in reply to England's 269-7 as Australian openers Aaron Finch and David Warner led the way for the home side, with Finch making 121 and Warner 65.
