LHC takes notice of acid attack

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Complaint Cell Thursday took a notice of acid attack on a woman by her husband.

The complaint cell has directed the district and sessions judge Rahim Yar Khan to look into the matter and submit a report.

The cell took notice of a press report which stated that the victim had been married to Mohan of Liaqatabad about four years ago. The accused threw acid on his wife over soar relations while the victim received serious burns.

The injured was shifted to Shaikh Zayed Hospital where the victim was in a critical condition as she received 50 per cent burns.

Police arrested Mohan from his house a few hours later but his mother involved in the incident had been missing.
