Govt taking steps for welfare of special persons: Sharmila

KARACHI: The government of Sindh is taking every possible measure for the welfare and betterment of the special persons.

This was stated by the Special Assistant to the Sindh Chief Minister, Ms. Sharmila Faruqui.

She was speaking as chief guest at a seminar at the National Museum of Pakistan here on Sunday.

The moot was held under the joint auspices of the Pakistan Association of the Deaf and `Danishkuda'.

Ms. Sharmila was of the view that the special persons are important part of our society and that special attention should be paid towards their education and training in order to make them a useful member of the society.

She pointed out that the history is replete with instances of achievements on the part of special persons.

Ms. Sharmila also lauded the role of the Pakistan Association of the Deaf and Danishkuda and assured every assistance on the part of the government.
