Win against Protease gave Pak confidence to beat SL

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani batsman Muhammad Hafeez has said that first-ever Protease win have boosted Pakistan's confidence to beat Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Talking to Private news channels, T-20 captain Mohammad Hafeez has said that Pakistan`s first-ever win in South Africa raised team spirits high and it is determined to win the ongoing five-match series by 4-1.

Hafeez said that Pakistan carry forward the confidence of their 2-1 one-day series win in South Africa last month,

He said that it was a big motivation to win in South Africa for the first time and they carried that momentum in UAE as well.

Hafeez maintains that its all due to the efforts of whole team and support of captain.

To a question he said that it is a great honor for me to level the record of Zaheer Abbas, one of the greatest batter Pakistan have produced.

Hafeez scored three hundreds in a series and has become the sixth batsman in all one-day cricket to score three hundreds in one bilateral series and the first Pakistani to do so behind legendary Zaheer Abbas.

Pakistan registered convincing eight-wicket win in the fourth match in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to take an unbeatable lead in the series of 5 ODIs against Sri lanka.
