ADELAIDE: England were 143 for four at tea chasing an unlikely 531 runs to win the second Ashes Test against Australia in Adelaide on Sunday.

Joe Root was unbeaten on 66 with Ben Stokes yet to score after Kevin Pietersen (53) and Ian Bell (6) were dismissed in the middle session.
