KCR project to take concrete shape soon: Ebad

KARACHI: The Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project would take some concrete shape soon, the Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan said on Monday.

He was talking to the participants of the 43rd PN Staff Course who called on him at the Governor House here.

The Governor further stated that the Lyari Expressway would be completed soon and that these projects would considerably help ease the traffic problem in the metropolis.

He also informed that the targeted action against the criminal elements, has produced positive results and due to this action without any discrimination the law and order situation is improving.

Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan said that Karachi is the commercial hub and generates 60 to 70 percent revenue for the country.

He further informed that the Prime Minister has directed that peace be restored in the metropolis at all costs.

The Governor also asked the people to keep a vigilant eye in their surroundings and help towards making the city peaceful.

He said that the rangers and the police are fully capable of curbing the criminal activities.

Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad Khan said that the federal as well as the provincial government are serious towards the development projects in the province and the metropolis.

He said that the security issue is also very important and full attention is being paid towards this very aspect.
