Drone attacks against country's sovereignty: Gilani

MULTAN; Former prime minister and central leader of Pakistan People Party Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Saturday said that drone attacks were against the sovereignty of the country.

Talking to the media here at airport, he said, PPP strongly condemned the drone attack in populated area of Hungu.

To a question about Imran Khan's protest and sit-in in KPK, Gilani said that it was his democratic right to hold peaceful demonstrations against the attacks.

He said that weak economy was a real problem for the country and added that self-reliance was necessary to get rid of the problems.

To a query about dialogue with India, Gilani supported the dialogue process and said that wars could not solve problems of the both countries.

About PPP's preparations for local government elections, he said that his party would take active part in the local bodies elections.

On this occasion, local PPP leaders Malik Nasim Laabar, Malik Abid Thaheem and other workers were also present.
