ISLAMABAD: Former leggie Abdul Qadir wants Twenty-20 captain Muhammad Hafeez to utilize all-rounder Abdul Razzaq properly in the team by providing him plentiful chances.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has included Razzaq in the Twenty-20 squad for South Africa series. Razzaq, 33, has been out of favour since the T-20 2012 World Cup in Sri Lanka following his outburst against shorter format captain Mohammad Hafeez after which he was fined Rs 100,000 and was sidelined from the squad. Overall, Razzaq has played thirty T20s during which he has scored 383 runs at a strike rate of 119.68 and has taken 20 wickets.

While appreciating the return of Abdul Razzaq, the former chief selector, Abdul Qadir said Razzaq is a match winner and I am happy for his inclusion in the team, Qadir told a private news channel.

He said that if he had the authority he would have appointed Razzaq as the ODI skipper with Afridi as the captain of the T20 format.
