Ukraine current account deficit widen

KIEV: Ukraine's current account deficit widened to $10.218 billion in January-September of this year from $9.550 billion in the same period of 2012, the central bank said on Friday.

The increase was mainly due to lower private transfers from abroad $1.651 billion in January-September 2013 compared to $2.265 billion in the same period a year earlier. While the trade deficit remained almost unchanged $9.552 billion compared to 9.685 billion.
