Exemption from payment of fee for sacrificial animals

KARACHI: KMC Administrator Saqib Ahmed Soomro has waived off the fee on sacrificial animals due for Health Clearance Certificate, Animals Sales and Purchase Brokers License and License for keeping milching animals (excluding black buffaloes) temporarily for a period from Zilhaj 1 to 10, 1434 Hijri.

However, the team of KMC's Veterinary Surgeons shall continue to check the health fitness and issue proper Health Clearance Certificate (HCC) for the above mentioned tenure (free of cost).

This action has been taken in pursuance of clause 4 of Animal (Registration, Sale & Control) Bye Laws 2007, said a statement.

Metropolitan Commissioner Samiuddin Siddiqui has directed the Senior Director Veterinary that it is now imperative upon the Veterinary Department KMC to make all precautionary measures to ensure transparency and convenience to the sellers/brokers of sacrificial animals in all phases.

In case of any complaint about irregularity, corruption and extortion, it shall be dealt with stern departmental action as well as punitive measures against the individual and the head of the Veterinary Department under existing laws.
