Sindh bill proposes ban on excessive wedding spending

KARACHI: A bill seeking ban on unnecessary spending at wedding ceremonies was tabled in the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday.

PPP MPA Sharmila Farooqui presented the bill.

The bill seeks a ban on decorating streets and roads during a wedding ceremony. It, however, allows the decoration of wedding house.

In her bill, Ms Farooqui also proposed banning aerial firing, cracker blasts and display of fireworks.

Meanwhile, Sindh Assembly unanimously approved a resolution against hike in oil prices.
