BUENOS AIRES: Argentina's closing soy prices and trends on Friday:

In the Rosario grains market, soy closed at 1,850 pesos ($326) per tonne, down from 1,880 on Thursday. Lower prices in benchmark Chicago futures set the tone for the session.

Soybean futures on the CBOT ended lower on Friday. Traders booked profits after sharp gains this month, while forecasts for cooler temperatures and much-needed rain in parts of the US Midwest added to the downward pressure.

Rosario soy for delivery in May 2014, which is quoted in US dollars, closed between $285 and $287, down from $290 the day before.

In the Argentine port of Quequen soy closed at 1,800 pesos per tonne, while in Bahia Blanca the oilseed ended at 1,870 pesos.
