LONDON: Europe's main stock markets opened steadily on Monday with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index rising 0.08 percent to 6,505.33 points.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 inched up 0.04 percent to 8,395.02 points and the CAC 40 in Paris dipped 0.05 percent to 4,121.98 compared with Friday's closing values.
