D.I.KHAN: Chief of Jamit-e-Ulma-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the agenda of Goldsmith would be buried on August 22 when the people will vote in the by-elections in favour of JUI-F candidates adding that incompetent KPK government would collapse soon.

The people would respond to the harsh tone used by Imran Khan in the Lakki Marwat public meeting by defeating his candidate in the by-poll, said Maulana Fazlur Rehman while addressing election meetings in Landi Umer Khan and Musa Zai Sharif here on Saturday.

He said that the performance of KPK government was before everyone and the DIK jail incident has proved their worth of governance, adding that there was every possibility of similar attack in the provincial capital. He said that he don't think the PTI government would survive long in the province due to its incompetency.

Maulana said establishment of peace in KPK was essential for the development of the province and added that the recommendations of 2008 parliament and proposals of 2011 APC meetings have not been implemented.

We made a tribal jirga which was appreciated by the national leadership but this jirga was not allowed to work. After the elections, all the political parties supported the tribal jirga established for maintenance of peace in tribal areas. He said that the central and the KPK should be on the same page but unfortunately my point of view was taken by some friends as an effort to reach the corridor of power.

He said that construction of Chashma First Lift Canal was longstanding demand of people of the area adding that the previous rulers befooled the masses on this gigantic project, however, he said that this project was now being taken for construction this year.

He maintained that JUI-F has a long history of development of D.I.Khan and we kept maintain our this tradition by holding high level meetings in the ministry of finance and planning commission for the execution of mega projects in D.I.Khan.

Maulana claimed that he convinced the federal government, finance ministry, planning commission and ministry of petroleum and natural resources and Wapda that the developmental projects in D.I.Khan should deserve proper attention.
