Deptts alert to deal with any situation: DCO

KASUR: DCO Javed Iqbal Bukhari has said the departments concerned flood had alert to cope with uncertain situation in the river Sutlej.

Talking to the media here on Saturday, he said the departments, including Rescue 1122, were working round-the- clock and situation was under control in the district.

He said Rescue 1122 shifted 34 families to safe places from flood-hit areas through boats and provided them food.

The DCO said the district administration had taken all possible measures to cope with any situation.

According to the flood control room, the water discharge was recorded 54,290 cusecs at Ganda Singhwala while water level was 18.90 feet at Kikkar Post, 8ft at Talwar Post, 10ft at Baqirke and 13.90ft at Kothi Fateh Muhammad.
