ISTANBUL: Turkey's unemployment rate fell to 8.8 percent in May from 9.3 percent a month earlier, the Turkish Statistics Institute said on Thursday.

The jobless rate, measured on a three-month average, was up from 8.2 percent in the same period a year earlier.
