Mobile phone service suspended in IoK

15 Aug, 2013

ISLAMABAD: Mobile phones fell silent across the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) Valley on Thursday after the puppet authorities jammed the cellular service.

Mobile phones from various service providers, including BSNL, Airtel, Aircel, Reliance and Tata, fell silent across the Valley as the people of IoK are observing India's Independence Day as Black Day, KMS reported.

Mobile phone service across the Valley was suspended on 15th August last year as well.

The authorities Thursday directed service providers to withdraw Internet facilities on mobile phones. Internet services are, however, available on broadband at very low speed.
