Independence Day likely to be celebrated in heavy rains

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's 66th Independence Day on August 14 is likely to celebrate under heavy rainfall as Met department has forecast intense monsoon cycle across the country in the next 72 hours.

According to the Met department, heavy rainfalls are expected in this year on August 14. Meanwhile the children, youth and people from various walks of life are bracing up to celebrate the country's independence day in a benefitting manner.

The boys and girls are engaged in collecting stickers, badges and decorating their homes, bicycles with colourful bunting and hoisting National flags at their rooftops.

The printing presses are preparing flags, bunting, badges and placards, etc and finalising the arrangements to dispatch the independence day items to other areas of the country to meet growing demands.

The children plan to flutter National flags at rooftops, while arrangements are being finalised to decorate bunting at the streets, markets, plazas and shops.Young girls are busy in buying green dresses to mark the day.
