North Korea offers South guarantees to reopen industrial zone: KCNA

SEOUL: North Korea on Wednesday offered South Korea a series of guarantees aimed at breaking the deadlock in talks about reopening a joint industrial zone.

As well as allowing South Korean firms full access to the Kaesong complex, which closed in April due to soaring military tensions, the North will guarantee the attendance of its own workers and the safety of all South Koreans, the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea said in a statement.
