PM has broad vision over foreign policy: Analyst

ISLAMABAD: Political Analyst Prof Rasool Bakhsh Raees has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has broad vision towards foreign policy and wants to establish better relations with India as he did in the 1997.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that Pakistan also want to establish better relations with Afghanistan but there was distrust between political leadership in the past.

Afghan leadership has developed trust on the newly elected government of PML-N and Prime Minister Advisor on Security and External Affairs Sartaj Aziz's visit to Afghanistan define foreign policy of Pakistan, he added.

He said that Sartaj Aziz's visit to Afghanistan has dual importance firstly to convey Pakistan's vision to the Afghan leadership while secondly to repair the tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan from last few months.

Pakistan is ready to cooperate with Afghan government to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan, he said.

He said that the United States and Pakistan want to establish good offices for negotiation between Afghanistan and Taliban.
