CM takes notice of non-availability of anti-venom vaccine

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while taking serious notice of snake-bite cases and shortage of anti snake venom (ASV) in affected areas of Tharparker and Umerkot, has directed for calling an explanation to the District Health officer.

He expressed his displeasure on shortage of required medicines and negligence of Health Authorities and warned them of strict action in case of any negligence.

A CM House statement on Thursday evening said that the CM further directed the provincial Health Secretary to ensure the availability of ASV and other essential medicines on war footing basis so that the affected people could be provided relief without any further delay.

He directed the Secretary Health for not only ensuring the required medicines but also making sure that doctors and paramedical staff is present at the hospitals and other medical facilities in the affected areas, so that affected people could be provided immediate relief.
