KARACHI: At least four persons were killed in separate incidents of violence in the city here on Saturday.

According to police and rescue sources, a body stuffed in a sack was recovered on the information of a person detained from Qayumabad area.

Police said the deceased, who was identified as Azam Khan, 32, was helper in a Masjid in Korangi area. Police said that two persons namely Tahir and Ashfaq were taken into custody when the deceased father, Awal Khan, suspected their involvement in his missing. Police said the accused kidnapped Azam and killed him after severe torture. Tahir along with his friend killed Azam as a revenge as Azam took his job. Further investigation was underway.

An activist of Sunni Tehrik, Imran, 42, son of Iqbal, was shot dead in PIB colony area. Police said that the deceased was resident of Jamsheed Quarters and was active worker of ST. A bullet-riddled body of a youth was found from Hangorabad area. Police said the identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained.

Another man was stabbed to death in Future colony in the limits of Sharafi Goth police station. Police said the victim was identified as Naveed, 25, and added that the victim was killed over personal enmity.
