Minister concerned over trains delay

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday expressed great concern over delayed arrival and departure of trains.

Presiding over a meeting at railways headquarters, the minister directed the railway officials to overcome the problem besides improving the condition of the Pakistan Railways.

The meeting discussed rationalization of fares on different sections and the signalling system. It also discussed how to man all unmanned level-crossings.

Pakistan Railways (PR) has restored the service of Awam Express at Gujjar Khan, Tezgam at Mian Channu, Karachi Express at Khanewal and Millat Express at Abdul Hakim station and it would be functional from Tuesday.

DG Walton Academy Anjum Pervaiz, AGM Traffic Javaid Anwar, AGM Infrastructure Ghulam Muhammad Quershi, AGM Mechanical Asad Ihsan attended the meeting.
