BOGOTA: Colombia's Finance Minister Mauricio Cardenas said on Wednesday he would take time to enact a decree to encourage pension funds to invest more in foreign markets.

He said it would not be implemented in the short term. Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing high level government and industry sources that he would delay the signing of the measure announced in April.
