Heavy rain in twin cities turns weather pleasant

ISLAMABAD: Different areas of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad received heavy rainfall early Saturday morning that turned the weather pleasant.

According to the Meteorological Department of Pakistan (MDP), the spell of rainfall along with thunderstorm is likely to continue at different places for the next 24 hours,PTV news reported.

The early morning shower in the twin cities decreased the mercury level, bringing relief to the citizens who are already affected by prolonged heat wave.

Besides, Heavy downpour on Saturday morning in Lahore and other parts of Punjab provided much needed relief to the masses from hot and humid weather.

Rain with strong winds was also reported from Pasroor and Daska.

Met office has predicted more rain in Punjab, Kashmir and Sindh during the next 24 hours.

While in Multan, met office had forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of dust raising winds in the city and its suburbs today.
