DG Rangers briefs Sindh CM on law, order, MPA's murder

KARACHI: Director General, Rangers (Sindh) Maj. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar briefed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah about the law, order situation with reference to Friday's murder of MPA Sajid Qureshi and his son in Karachi.

According to a statement, the DG Rangers called on the Chief Minister at the CM House here on Saturday and briefed him about the law and order situation in the metropolis.

The Chief Minister directed that all possible and effective measures should be taken to provide protection to the citizens as it is the prime responsibility of the government.

He said that Sindh government has adopted 'zero tolerance' policy for maintaining law and order in the province.

He directed that stern action should be taken against the elements involved in the killing of innocent people.

The Chief Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the killing of MPA Sajid Qureshi and his son by unknown gunmen here on Friday.

He offered condolence over the death of Sajid Qureshi and his son and expressed sympathy with the members of the bereaved family.
