World Blood Donor Day observed

BANNU: Prominent health practitioner and chief provost Bannu Medical College Dr. Hafizullah Khan Friday said that a large number of female die every year due to less than normal quantity of haemoglobin in the blood or anaemia.

He urged upon youngsters to donate generously for the patients who are in emergent need of blood.

Talking to media persons here at a local health complex on World Blood Donor Day, Dr Hafizullah removed the general misconception about blood donation saying that it does not have any negative impact on the health of people and instead produces fresh and new blood in the body.

He told people to check their blood group and properly screen it so as to timely detect different types of diseases.

Dr Hafizullah reminded golden lessons of Islam to the people urging them to serve people irrespective of their religion, cast and creed.

On this occasion a large number of students and volunteers donated their blood.
