Priority of new government to maintain peace: Khurram Dastgir

ISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Nawaz, Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan on Tuesday said that top priority of coming government was to maintain peace in the country.

He said that PML does not believe in violence and coming government would evolve consensus between the all political stakeholders to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Khurram Dastgir said that PML (N)leader would play pivotal role to coordinate with all provinces to meet all the big challenges.

He said that his party would follow the guidelines of Charter of Democracy to solve all the matters according the democratic norms.

Talking to a private television channel, he said that parliamentary politics is quite different from the popular politics of election period and his party did not believe in blame game.

He urged all the political parties to show maturity to promote political culture and to accept each other's mandate.

He said that his party had always struggled for the supremacy of the constitution and stability of the democratic institutions in the country.
