England 337-7 against New Zealand

LEEDS: England, after winning the toss, were 337 for seven at the close of the second day of the second Test against New Zealand in Leeds on Saturday.

Matt Prior was 38 not out and Graeme Swann 21 not out after Joe Root (104) scored his maiden Test century, in what was also his first match at this level at Headingley, following Friday's first day washout.

England lead the two-match series 1-0.
