Pak, Afghan border to be sealed on May 11

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has ordered its Home Department to seal the Pakistan-Afghanistan border at Torkham on May 11 owing to avert the entry of unwanted persons for maintenance of peace during upcoming general elections.

Further in its order on Thursday, the KP Interior Ministry has instructed the Additional Chief Secretary FATA to restrict Afghan refugees to their camps from May 10 to 12 in the backdrop of general elections for security reasons.

It was also ordered to initiate legal proceedings against illegal Afghans roaming in city from May 10 to 12 under 14 Foreign Act.
