LONDON: European equities advanced in opening trade on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of top companies up 0.24 percent at 6,301.99 points.

Elsewhere, Frankfurt's DAX 30 climbed 0.75 percent to 7,516.06 points and in Paris the CAC 40 gained 0.65 percent to 3,675.54.
