IRSA releases 129,534 cusecs for rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Friday released 129,534 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 114,925 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1404.20 feet, which was 26.20 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 20,200 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 35,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1108.00 feet, which was 68.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 32,191 cusecs and 40,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 80,523, 49,979 and 33,915 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 38,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 16,234 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
