Met Office forecasts scattered rain in KP

PESHAWAR: The Met Office here on Wednesday forcasted scattered rain in most parts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa during next 24 hours.

According to Met Office here, a westerly wave is affecting Upper and Central parts of the country.

As result, scattered rain-thunderstorm is expected in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, KP and Upper Punjab (Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha & Faisalabad divisions), whereas isolated rain-thunderstorm is expected over Upper Sindh during next 24 hours.

In next 48 hours, rain/thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Upper KP, Upper Punjab including Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

The isolated rain-thunderstorm occurred in Malakand, Hazara, Quetta & Kalat divisions and Kashmir. The agriculturists said the current rain will lay positive impact on the wheat crops in dry areas of the province.

Khuzdar has received maximum 42 mm rain followed by Dir 26, Saidu Sharif 14, Kalam13, Malamjaba 13, Chitral 12, Lower Dir 10, Muzaffarabad 09, Dalbandin 09, Kakul 07, Murree 07, Drosh 06, Parachinar 06, Pattan 05, Peshawar City 05, Rawalpindi 5, Quetta & Panjgur 03 and Islamabad 02 mm.

Kalam 00 C remained the coldest place followed by Astore and Parachinar 01 C while pollen count: 12,784 per cubic meter.
