Ferrari unveils hybrid supercar

All about speed, it can reach 100 km/h as fast as a Lamborghini Aventador, in nearly 2.9 seconds. Plus it pushed the F12 Berlinetta off its pinnacle of fastest road Ferrari ever, with its three second shorter lap time.

That makes it the Prancing Horse’s most powerful, technological masterpiece. Its V12 engine is combined with an electric drive motor and an F1 dual-clutch gearbox. Running on 950 horsepower, 40 more ponies than the McLaren P1, LaFerrari isn't the average eco-friendly vehicle, but considerable for its size and engine, it has CO2 emissions of only about 330 g/km. Its brakes were crafted by Brembo, one of the world’s top automotive disc brake technology manufacturers.

Led by Flavio Manzoni, the design team has managed to make the supercar look elegant, yet fierce. At 15 feet long and 7 feet wide, it allows for proficient airflow. LaFerrari resembles the Enzo but has rounder fenders, a smoother hood, a sloping roof and LED headlights.

Only 499 models will be produced and that’s probably for the better because it won’t be affordable for most with its price tag set to amaze like its speed, a hefty $1.3 million.
