He was working as Executive Director of the bank and had joined BOK as Member Board of Directors in September 2008. Prior to joining Bank of Khyber Board of Directors, he was an active member of business community and office bears of various industrial and business organizations, as a Member Board & later as Executive Director of BOK bring with him 35 years of corporate and investment banking experience with professional background in Banking and Financial industry where he worked on senior positions. Mir Javed Hashmat started his career in 1974 by joining Industrial Development Bank of Pakistan (IDBP) as Project Evaluation Officer and served the IDBP for over 25 years on various important positions besides IDBP's Provincial Chiefs for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Baluchistan Provinces. He also attended various international and national trainings, workshops and seminars organized by World Bank, ADB, PIM, IBP and State Bank of Pakistan. He joined The Bank of Khyber as Senior Vice-President and established Assets Management Division in 2001 and was also member of the Business Development, Resource Mobilization, Management, Credit & Human Resources Development Committees. His appointment as Acting Managing Director BOK shows seriousness of the present Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhw towards continuity of policies in The Bank of Khyber which is going to definitely help grow socio-economic development of the province.
