Talking to reporters after inaugurating the Regional Office of Sindh Building Control Authority here at Civic Centre late Thursday night, the minister said that Pakistan Peoples Party fully committed to provide jobs to unemployed youth and whenever the government of the party came into power, it opened the doors of employment instead to retrenching the men in service.

 

Responding to a question about the restoration of 1979 Local Government System, he said that the government respected the demand of the people and restored the 1979 Local Government System.

 

Replying to a question about establishment of the university in Hyderabad, the minister said that PPP always made decisions on the will of the people.

 

About formation of alliance of different political parties and groups in Sindh against PPP, Agha Siraj Durrani reminded that such alliances were also formed against the party in the past and the people witnessed that PPP defeated the candidates of such alliances in the elections.

 

The PML (N) Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has made alliance with those people who could not win the seat of national or provincial constituency in the past, he said and added that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is the supporter of the construction of Kala Bagh Dam and alliance with his party is against of the interest of Sindh.

 

Responding to a question about the conduct of general elections, the minister maintained that the assemblies will be dissolved within two weeks and elections will be held on time.

 

About the returns of the Governor Sindh, Agha Siraj Durrani said that Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad possessed a decent personality and he desired to make combined efforts for the betterment of the province.

 

Replying to another question about the nomination of opposition leader in Sindh Assembly, the minister opined since MQM is no more coalition partner the leader of the opposition should be from MQM.

 

Earlier, the minister inaugurated the regional office of Sindh Building Control Authority.
