LAHORE: All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) Sunday urged the government to allow trade and exchange of delegations through the Ganda Singh border, Kasur district, as being done through the Wagha Border.

APPMA Businessmen Group leader Khamis Saeed Butt and Vice President Khawaja Nadeem Saeed Wayeen said that Indian Cities Ferozepur and New Delhi are just 9 and 360 km far from the Kasur Ganda Singh border, while, Amritsar and New Delhi are at the distance of 40 km and 447 km respectively from the Wagha border Lahore.

They said that Pakistani goods could reach to the Indian market in shortest time through Ganda Singh border that would not only help in boosting Pakistani exports but also normalize the mutual relations.

Khamis Butt and Khawaja Nadeem said that volume of trade through third party between Pakistan and India is almost $ 3 billion. Both countries should take measures to start trade directly.

They said that Pakistan and Indian should start trade through Ganda Singh border and establish infrastructure including hotels and warehouses in the larger interest of the business community.
