Met Office predicts rain in Malakand division

PESHAWAR: The Met Office here Tuesday has forecast rain at isolated places of Malakand division of Khyber Pakthunkhwa

According to Met Office Spokesman here, a westerly wave is prevailing over northwestern parts of Balochistan and its adjoining areas.

 

In next 24 hours, mainly cold and dry weather is expected while partly cloudy conditions will prevail in upper parts of the country. However, rain is expected at isolated places in Kalat, Malakand divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

 

In next 48 hours, rain is expected at scattered places of Balochistan, Kashimr, Gilgit Baltistan and isolated places of Punjab, KP and Upper Sindh. The weather of Malakand, Dir and Swat districts will remain partly cloudy with chances of rain during the said period.

 

Weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain occurred at few places of Khuzdar, Kalat, Quetta, Sukkar and Malakand divisions during last 24 hours.

 

Khuzdar has received maximum 8 milmeter rain followed by Kalat 04, Bannu & Jaccobabad 02, Dir, Kohat, Peshawar, Quetta, Sukkar & Rohri 01 mm respectively. The light showers in these districts have brought the temperature down and increased coldness.

 

The minimum temperature was recorded at Parachinar -06 C followed by Astore -05 C, Skardu & Gupis, Malamjabba & Kalam -03 C, Hunza & Rawalakot -02 C and pollen count remained 18 per cubic meter.
